HydrOBlastr is a unique new brand of underwater pool toy that includes water-air vortex ring shooters and underwater targets. HydrOBlastr
shooters produce underwater vortex bubble rings that entertain and fascinate both children and adults. Interesting things can happen
when two bubble rings collide. Sometimes two rings combine into one larger ring, and sometimes they annihilate each other. Rings can be
bounced off each other, and even the surface of the water. The HydrOBlastr shooter is a vortex ring generator that produces a swirling
ring of water with air trapped in its core. The toy is cocked by hand, aimed, and fired by pulling the trigger. No external power is
required, and the child never runs out of ammunition.
There are many possible types of HydrOBlastr targets. Some of the targets float on the surface of the water and sink when struck one
or more times. Others are initially submerged and rise toward the water surface when struck. Targets utilize levers, valves, changing
buoyancy, or electronic actuation to sense and respond to a strike. Each player can shoot at his/her own color-coded target(s), or
multiple players can shoot at the same target. Of course kids can also just shoot vortex rings at each other. The impact of a ring can
be felt but causes no pain. It feels kind of like a quick squirt from a garden hose underwater.
